Verdict on Hyderabad twin bomb blast Case

Two synchronised consecutive blasts had occurred on 25 August 2017 around 7:45pm at Gokul Chaat Corner in koti and Laser show auditorium in Lumbini, few metres away from form State Secretariat killing 43 innocent people including women and children and 68 were injured. At the same night of Aug 25 another major terror attack was averted after the cops recovered an unexploded bomb from Dilsukhnagar.

On Monday Sep 10, Anique Syed and Akbar Ismail Chodhary were given capital punishment for planting bombs at auditorium in Lumbini and Gokul Chaat Corner at Koti which killed 43 people by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Court in the Cherlapally Central Prison in the city.

The third convict of the case i.e. Tarik Anjum was sentenced to Life Imprisonment by the Session Court judge T. Srinivas Rao. The court convicted Tarik Anjum for harbouring the perpetrators of the blasts including Riyaz Bhatkal who is the Chief of Indian Mujahideen and his brother Iqbal Bhatkal.

The two accused Farooq Sharfuddin Takash and Mohammed Sadiq Israr Ahmed Shekh were acquitted for want of enough evidence. although their involvement was found in other cases in Pune and Mumbai.
